What This Skill Does 🖍️

Your quality gate for AI output. Run it on any finished email, post, deck, reply, proposal, or doc before you send or share it, and it checks the output against two layers, then hands back a scorecard: what's off, the standard it broke, and a suggested fix. It flags and suggests only. It never rewrites your work, so you stay in control of every edit.

It checks two layers:

  1. Universal Slop Check. AI writing tells, made-up facts, contradictions, leftover junk, and unreadable writing. Works out of the box, no setup.
  2. Company Slop Check. Your voice, your visual brand, your strategy and facts, and whether the output actually did its job. This is the part you personalize for your own business.

How to install and use it

  1. Download the file above. Drag the zip into Claude Code or Claude Desktop and tell Claude to install it.
  2. Run it on any output. Paste the text in, or point Claude at a file, and say "run de-slop on this."
  3. Read the scorecard. Each row names what's off, the source standard, and a suggested fix. You choose which to apply. The skill never edits for you.

You can also add it as the last step inside another skill, so anything that skill produces gets checked before it lands.

Fill in your own info first. I've stripped out all of my company's information, so the Company Slop Check ships as blank templates with bracketed examples. The Universal Slop Check still works out of the box.
